Layne's is a College Station oddity: they serve chicken, and only chicken. Your options are: with or without bread, with or without sauce, and which variety of Coke to get with your meal.

I repeat, THEY SERVE ONLY CHICKEN. Do not go there looking for a burger or a salad.

The average meal plus drink is around $5-6.
The box(take-out) or basket(dining-in) being your best option.
This comes with chicken strips, french fries, Texas Toast, and their special
sauce.
This is truly a Texas-style meal, vegetarians beware!
The sauce is one of the best things... a simple secret recipe with a good deal
of pepper!!
You just gotta love Layne's!!
